HUGE HUGE HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all who took part in the inter-schools athletics tournament today at Robin Park. It was a high pressure event and all of you tried your absolute best and put 110% effort into your performances - you made the PE staff very proud!!! 
For those that didn’t go, here are some results…… Junior Girls - 3rd Intermediate Boys - 1st Overall Boys - 3rd All other teams came 4th or 5th! These are superb results considering the opposition we were up against, and again congratulations to some outstanding individual performances!!!Here’s to even better next year

WOW what an afternoon!!! Firstly a superb 3rd v 4th place play off game at lunchtime with North Korea (Y7) taking Nigeria (Y10) to penalties, then a superb final with Germany (Y8) and Ivory Coast (Y9). So the results were as follows…
1st - IVORY COAST
2nd - GERMANY
3rd - NIGERIA
4th - NORTH KOREA
Goal of the Tournament - Tom Davies 7CA
Player of the Tournament - Adam Hodkinson 8AS
Top Goal Scorer - Robbie Bolton 9TW
Congratulations to all who took part in the tournament and to everyone that supported this afternoon for creating a fantastic atmosphere for the finalists!

Big congratulations to 9TW in their impressive display of football on the astro at lunch today! There was some excellent teamwork, individual skill and fabulous goals scored by both teams. However, The final result ended…
Ivory Coast 7 v Nigeria 3 …………….. Man of the Match - Taf!!
That means that on FRIDAY the following teams will be playing…
3rd v 4th place play off - 7LM (North Korea) v 10SP (Nigeria) - Year 7’s will have a 3 goal headstart AT LUNCHTIME.
Followed by the final during PERIOD 5 …………. 8AS (Germany) v 9TW (Ivory Coast)!!

ENGLAND v SLOVENIA

Right people………its now or never!!! England v Slovenia on Wednesday 23rd June is a 3pm kick off. We will be putting it on the big screen in the Drama Theatre for all who would like to stay and watch it!! 20p entrance fee and refreshments will be available during half time! So stay and show your support and lets hope England play better than they did on Friday to go through to the 2nd round!!!!

A superb semi-final this afternoon, gorgeous weather, fantastic support and a tremendous effort by all players involved!! With 15 minutes each way it was a tough game and a huge test of stamina, but the final result ended as…
North Korea 2 v Germany 8 ………… Man of the Match - Michael Lever
This means Germany will go through to the final on Friday 25th June during period 5, and North Korea will play 3rd v 4th play off during lunchtime on the 25th!! Germany you will need to prepare youself for an interview at lunchtime in preparation for the final that afternoon - Good luck to both teams in the final stage!!!
The 2nd semi-final has been postponed till Wednesday 23rd June due to staff and pupils being unavailable previous days! 9TW and 10SP psych yourself up for it!!!!
